UiB works interdisciplinary to solve issues within their focus areas: Marine Research, Global Social Challenges, and Climate & Energy Restructuring. Complex problems that arise in complex systems require system understanding, creativity, and innovation. The group for System Dynamics at UiB has such challenges as its core area. Together with researchers from other disciplines, they are engaged in a number of interdisciplinary initiatives; system dynamics is a method that enables experts with different expertise to work together and understand each other.
Ness explained that when you work together across silos, you are also far more innovative. But what do you do when Covid-19 closes borders and meeting rooms? Can we learn something from the pandemic crisis and rocket digitization that makes us even better - even after normalization one day comes?
